Our non-profit organization in Gardena, California, helps families achieve and live quality lives through various programs.

RE-ENTRY & HOUSING NAVIGATION PROGRAM

  • Comprehensive re-entry programs
  • Education & job readiness workshops
  • Trauma-Informed, Harm-Reduction Care
  • Peer-to-peer led, evidence-based practices

We provide in-reach services for individuals preparing to exit prison, as well as outreach services, case management, and housing navigation. It is our goal to close the skills gap by challenging the stigmas and stereotypes that discourage people from pursuing the millions of available jobs that most think are unattainable for the re-entry population.

HYGIENE RELIEF

  • Pop-up shower locations
  • Hot meals
  • Connective services
  • Health care navigation
  • Clothing care packages
  • Housing/shelter navigation

Family Hands Foundation understands that when you look good, you feel good. To help our unhoused population feel good about themselves, we provide mobile hygiene shower opportunities. This gives unhoused individuals an opportunity to freshen up so they are able to confidently seek employment, health care, or just reconnect with others to regain control of their lives. Hygiene care packages, clean undergarments, and a meal are given to each unhoused member who receives a shower. Referrals for medical treatment and psychiatric support are provided on-site at the mobile shower location.
